Description

In the heart of the Friuli Riviera, you will find the ancient village of Modeano, already seat in the Roman period of a rustic villa. The conformation of the territory, the rich and deep soils and the climate mitigated by the proximity of the sea make modest the ideal place to produce wines rich in flavors, aromas and colours. Vinification takes place through maceration on the skins for 8-10 days at a temperature of 26-28 °C. During this period the skins remain immersed in the must in order to extract the maximum color and aromas. Then malolactic fermentation is made for 7 months in Tonneaux of 5 hl  and French oak barriques. Then it refines for 2 months in bottle. With a deep ruby red colour with violet reflections, it presents a well-pronounced bouquet with the characteristic scent of brushwood, BlackBerry, Morello and currants. After a short period of ageing it is enriched with notes of leather, musk and light hints of licorice. Warm, sapid with an elegant background of long lingering jams of berries. It combines with tasty red meat dishes, feather game and mature cheeses. It should be served at 16-18 °c.

Aromi Bouquet ben pronunciato con il caratteristico profumo di sottobosco, mora, marasca e ribes. Dopo un breve periodo di invecchiamento si arricchisce di note di cuoio, muschio e leggero sentore di liquirizia. Caldo, sapido con elegante fondo di confettura di frutti di bosco a lungo persistenti.
