In the current winery located in Friuli Venezia Giulia has been winemaking since the beginning of the twentieth century, but the almost definitive setting is given in the sixties by the owner Alberto Micossi, who begins rationally to grow native vines. In this land of Rossi important, Micossi wines are unforgettable for their aroma rich in particular bouquets. The 2.5 hectares of vineyard, located entirely on the hillside, are fragmented, in order to grasp the various characteristics of the soil and consequently its typical and uniqueness. The Refosco with a red peduncle is an indigenous vine with a deep red color and a winey scent reminiscent of chestnut. Widespread from Friuli, carso and Istria from where, probably, it originated.
